A mutual agreement for comedy!
The Guernsey Festival of Comedy is back at Les Rocquettes Hotel, but this year its spaced over three weekends AND it's sponsored by your favourite loan company - US!!
Our MD, Sally Moseley, says "we are delighted to be partnering Guernsey Comedy. As a local business we're keen to be involved with anything that engages the community and its great to be linked with such a fun and vibrant event"
The festival was founded in 2007 by Andy Fothergill and Nick Creed who say that they are looking forward to working with us.
"Thanks to our new sponsors...we can continue to bring you some of the biggest names on the international stand-up circuit in the intimate surroundings of our comedy club at Les Rocquettes Hotel."
Nick continues; "Cramming so many events into a week-long festival was quite a challenge, so this new concept gives us more scope to book the very best acts. We will continue to organise community events such as film afternoons for Age Concern and Kids Comedy so there should be something to appeal to everyone."
The first shows of 2018 are due to take place from 1-3 March and is headlined by Phil Kay who has been described as "A comedian like no other." and that "There is so much humour in his set it's hard to breathe."
Joining Phil is surreal comedian Harriet Dyer, and acclaimed musical comedian, Mitch Benn. Holding the shows together is usual compere Geoff Whiting.
Tickets are £22 and are available via http://happyci.com/
